Trauma Response
Launched in November 2023, the two year pilot project strove to reduce offending and violent crime whilst increasing health, wellbeing and family support for 25 children in care (and their families) who are at risk of involvement or already involved in the criminal justice system. At any one time, children in need or care represent between 60 and 70% of youth defendants.
The project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund Partnerships Fund UK.
The Crysalys Foundation worked closely with the Lottery, the target cohort and five partner organisations to deliver activities, outcomes and impacts guided by the University of Northampton.
The project met and exceeded all targets and outcomes. Preparations are underway for an enhanced full project from 2026, engaging younger children and their families.
